Bruce Toal, CEO, President, Co-Founder, and Director

Toal is a founder of Convey Computer Corporation and a member of the board of directors. Previously, Toal was director of marketing and solutions for the high-performance computing business at Hewlett-Packard Co., where he captured top market share at 33 percent of an $11 billion market, according to IDC. Toal won many awards from industry publications for most innovative and cost-effective HPC solutions, and was frequently acknowledged as the best industry partner by independent software vendors in HPC. Toal served as director of segment marketing and director of strategic business development at Convex Computer Corporation. When Convex merged with HP in 1995, he assumed the lead marketing role. Toal was the CEO and a founder of a startup, Talon Technology Corporation, which sold communications and computer equipment for rugged environments. Toal has a bachelor's of science in electrical engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y.

Steve Wallach, Chief Scientist, Co-Founder, and Director

Wallach is a founder of Convey Computer Corporation and is an adviser to venture capital firms CenterPoint Ventures, Sevin-Rosen and InterWest Partners. Previously, he served as vice president of technology for Chiaro Networks Ltd., and as co-founder, chief technology officer and senior vice president of development of Convex Computer Corporation. After Hewlett-Packard Co. bought Convex, Wallach became chief technology officer of HP's Enterprise Systems Group. Wallach served as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Simulation and Computing Program at Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1998 to 2007. He was also a visiting professor at Rice University in 1998 and 1999, and was manager of advanced development for Data General Corporation. His efforts on the MV/8000 are chronicled in Tracy Kidder's Pulitzer Prize winning book, "The Soul of a New Machine." Wallach, who has 33 patents, is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, an IEEE Fellow, and was a founding member of the Presidential Information Technology Advisory Committee. He is the 2008 recipient of IEEE's prestigious Seymour Cray Award.

Tony M. Brewer, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder

Brewer is responsible for the technical strategy and direction of the company, including defining the architecture for Convey's hybrid-core computer.™ Brewer coordinates closely with software and hardware teams to ensure technical excellence. Prior to joining Convey, Brewer was a system architect for Fujitsu Network Communications, director of system architecture for Chiaro Networks, and architect of Hewlett-Packard's high-end scalable servers. Additionally, Brewer was instrumental in designing the second-generation, scalable MPP system at Convex Computer Corporation. Brewer earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University. He is the lead inventor on more than 20 patent applications.

Kent Coker, Chief Financial Officer

Coker brings 26 years of experience in managing finance and operations to Convey's CFO position. Prior to joining Convey, Coker was chief financial officer for Somera Communications, a publicly held telecommunications equipment maker. Coker served as CFO, COO, and CEO with Chorum Technologies, a provider of fiber-optic equipment for the telecommunications industry. He also was at Compaq Computers, where he held the position of vice president of finance of the Telecommunications Solutions Group, and served in several senior financial roles at DSC Communications. Coker began his career at Ernst & Young as a Certified Public Accountant,and received his bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Texas Tech University.

Mike Carl, Director of Software Development

Carl is responsible for the design and development of Convey's software solutions. Carl brings 25 years of experience in software engineering development, management and quality assurance. Prior to joining Convey, Carl was the Director of Product Quality at Tango Networks. Carl also worked at Hewlett-Packard and Convex developing and managing software solutions on high performance servers including operating systems, firmware, resource and workload management, performance tools, and virtualization technologies. Carl received his bachelor's of science degree from Texas A&M University, and his master's of computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas. Carl holds numerous patents in the fields of systems resource management and performance.

Harold Dozier, Vice President of Hardware Development

Dozier is responsible for the design and development of hardware solutions, including design tools, design verification, FPGA design, circuit board design, system engineering, and mechanical design. Dozier brings 35 years of experience in engineering management, computer system design, ASIC and FPGA development, and integrated circuit design to his position at Convey. His experience includes serving as chief technical officer for Lightspeed Logic and director of hardware development at Chiaro Networks. Dozier was also vice president of advanced development for Convex Computer Corporation, where he managed the development of the C3, the third-generation Convex supercomputer based on gallium-arsenide (GaAs) semiconductor technology. Dozier earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University. He holds numerous patents in the fields of digital system design and digital circuit design.

Robert Bredehoft, Vice President of Sales

Bredehoft, who has more than 20 years of experience in the information and communication technologies (ICT) and high-performance computing (HPC) industries, is responsible for growing Convey revenues through strategic sales and solutions development. Bredehoft is the former vice president and global leader of Sun Microsystems government industry sales and marketing. Prior to Sun, Bredehoft held sales leadership and operations positions with Cray Research Inc., Raytheon/ESystems, and Texas Instruments. He was co-founder and chief operating officer of a startup, Talon Technology Corporation, which developed and sold communications and computer systems for rugged environments. Bredehoft received his bachelor's in oceanographic technology from Florida Institute of Technology.

Kirby Collins, Director of Performance Marketing

Collins brings 24 years of experience in high performance computing, and is responsible for product management of Convey's hardware and software products. Prior to joining Convey, Collins was a performance analyst at Hewlett-Packard and a member of the program teams responsible for HP's high-end servers. Collins also worked for Convex Computer in technical and product marketing. Collins received his bachelor's degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University.

Bob "Bobski" Masson, Director of Marketing

Masson brings more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience to Convey, where he is responsible for product marketing and sales support, including new product introductions and development of marketing materials. Prior to joining Convey, Masson owned and managed his own successful marketing consulting firm that assisted companies in bringing high technology products to market. Masson also worked for Hewlett-Packard as a worldwide product manager, Convex Computer Corporation as manager of hardware product marketing, and held various marketing and management positions for several successful startup companies. Masson attended the University of Wyoming majoring in math and computer science.

Tim Milovich, Director of Business and Corporate Development

Tim is responsible for Convey's partner ecosystem and driving new market opportunities. He oversees the company's technology partnerships; OEM, service provider and systems integrator relationships; and developer programs. He brings a proven track record for building partnerships and developing new markets to drive growth.

James "Sonny" McCutcheon, Director of Operations

McCutcheon brings more than 30 years of manufacturing and operations experience to Convey, where he is responsible for managing the supply-chain process, including product delivery, material management, and operations support. Prior to joining Convey, McCutcheon was the general manager/operations manager for Elcoteq Inc. (a global electronic manufacturing service provider), where he managed operations in both the United States and Mexico. McCutcheon also built the manufacturing and supply chain operations for Metro Optics. McCutcheon was a major contributor to the establishment of the manufacturing organization at Convex Computers, where he spent 13 years. McCutcheon began his career with Texas Instruments and earned his bachelor's degree in business from the University of Houston.
